summer livin' (in winter)

A little extreme bocce ball while watching the sunset with my buddy James.

Remember how I blindly signed up for that trail race? Well I decided to call up a running friend and hit the trails today. We ran about 6 miles on the actual course. I loved every minute of the run (not that I ever doubted I would). Makes me kinda want to run on every the trails. There was even a guy mountain biking along next to me that coached me up a huge hill. Everywhere I turn endurance athletes have each others back. People never cease to amaze me.

After my run I made a pit stop at the harbor to rest my legs in the sun. It was a beautiful weekend in Southern California. Almost like it was summer.

Bought some bike upgrades. Well I bought the the upgrades before I got the actual bike. But it's all getting put together and fitted this week so bike porn photos to come.

The company I work for started a softball team... safe to say I did not join. Haha
If it was a bike team I might say yes.

    1. It's pretty nice but I think I'd love seeing some snow every once in awhile.

  3. Trail races are indeed awesome - I prefer trail races to road races most times. And that is funny about the guy biking next to you on the trail, if the trail incline is steep enough you can almost beat bikers lol.

Yea, injuries are not fun - hopefully my left knee gradually responds to more strength training, I think you're right that consistent strength training is the key.

And that is awesome that you went to Melbourne and Coachella 2010 - I've been to 7 Coachellas now, and 2010 is still my favorite year out of all of them.

    1. Wow 7 Coachellas!? That is crazy! Awesome for you. I actually wore my 2010 shirt tonight to workout in.

I'm all about strength training. Seems to work for me. But everyone is different.

I hope to do more trail races in the future. I love the trail runs for sure!
