Christmas Cards 2009.

Since 1996 my family has been making/printing our own Christmas cards. None of that walmart templete stuff for the Duhes. At the beginning my dad scanned pastel drawing I did in art class, then watercolors and finally oil paintings. When I entered college we changed things up a bit and designed them on the computer. Now we have some full circle and back to the handmade element. This year I decided to carve two stamps and use some screen printing ink to print my mom's home state's bird, a cardinal. I also did a handdrawn "Merry Christmas" for the back. It was quite a process that took over the floor downstairs, but totally worth it. Here are some process photos.
one of the many batches. 175 were printed.
